Should I attend a 2-year school, 4- year school, community college, liberal arts, private, public, specialty, technology, consider transferring, or what? It all depends on what you want to do, and what you can afford right now. We can help you plot a course that will help you achieve your ultimate career objective, whether you plunge right into a 4-year program or take it in smaller steps.
What high school courses should I take? It depends on the competitive status of the college you ultimately attend. Never close a door on your future! This may mean signing up for the third or fourth year of foreign language, spending an extra year volunteering at the hospital, or hiring a tutor if a particular subject is proving difficult.
When should I begin the college search? If you’re a high school student, sophomore year is a good time to begin thinking about your options. The timing varies for everyone—what matters most is that you give yourself time to choose what’s best for you.
What tests should I register for? Registering for SAT’s and/or ACT’s can be the most disorganized process if you’re not careful. Planning and coordinating your calendar is critical to a successful course of action. Test prep cannot be done overnight or even in one month—there is an art to balancing and preparing.
How much supplemental information should I include in my application? Some schools require additional writing samples, art work and portfolios. Other schools want nothing but the application and a check. Each will vary, so you may wish to contact the school directly, and critically review the applications for specific details.
